Rwanda Presents Political Perspective at Munich Security Conference 2026

MUNICH, February 14, 2026 - A Rwandan government delegation led by Vincent Biruta, Minister of Security, and Juvenal Marizamunda, Minister of Defence, is participating in the Munich Security Conference 2026 (MSC 2026), which opened on February 13 and runs through February 15 in Munich, Germany. According to Rwanda’s Ministry of Defence, the delegation took part in a series of high-level discussions, presenting Rwanda’s perspective on the current international political and security landscape. The meetings brought together heads of state and government, senior policymakers, and global security experts from multiple continents. The delegation also held bilateral talks with representatives of friendly nations, focusing on advancing shared interests and strategic cooperation. The Munich Security Conference, now in its 62nd edition, is being hosted at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof and Rosewood Munich. Approximately 50 heads of state and government, alongside key international decision-makers, are expected to attend. The annual gathering serves as a major platform for debating global security challenges, including geopolitical tensions, armed conflicts, and emerging threats to international stability.
