Successful Counter-Terrorism Operation in Dosso
BOLBOL, Dosso Region-A detachment of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) engaged in Operation Damisa successfully repelled a terrorist ambush in the south-western periphery of Bolbol on Tuesday, October 21. In a display of tactical proficiency, the FDS neutralized two assailants and forced the remainder of the motorbike-riding group to flee towards a neighboring country.
The operation resulted in the seizure of a significant cache of weapons and equipment, including AK-47 rifles, RPG-7 rockets, magazines, and communication gear, with no casualties sustained by the FDS. This engagement demonstrates the continued operational tempo of security forces in regions beyond the traditional hotspots of Tillabéri and Diffa.
