Sikasso Region - JNIM Targets Malian Army Vehicles with IEDs
Sikasso Region - December 30, 2025 The Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM) announced that it targeted Malian army vehicles using three improvised explosive devices (IEDs) near Loulouni, in the southern part of the Sikasso region, close to the border with Burkina Faso. The attack underscores the persistent threat posed by JNIM in southern Mali and its capability to disrupt military operations along key border areas.
