Sikasso, Mali - JNIM Seizes Army Post in Garlou
Sikasso, December 25, 2025 The Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) announced that it had taken control of a Malian army post in Garlou, located in the Sikasso region, on the evening of Thursday, December 25, 2025. This action highlights the group’s continued operational reach in southern Mali, demonstrating its ability to target and temporarily seize government military positions.
