Ségou Region, Mali - JNIM Targets Malian Army Vehicle
Ségou, December 23, 2025 - The Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) announced that it targeted a Malian army vehicle with an explosive device on the morning of Tuesday, December 23, 2025, between the towns of San and Géné, in the Ségou region.
The attack reflects the ongoing asymmetric tactics employed by JNIM to disrupt military operations and instill insecurity in central Mali. Details regarding casualties or material damage have not been confirmed by Malian authorities.
