Rwandan Embassy in Qatar Moves Services Online Amid Iranian Attacks
On March 4, 2026, the Rwandan Embassy in Qatar announced that all its services would be temporarily moved online due to ongoing security concerns stemming from Iranian attacks in the region. The embassy explained that the decision was made to ensure safety while continuing assistance to Rwandans and others in need. “Due to the current security concerns, the Rwandan Embassy in Doha is operating online,” the statement read. These attacks began after US and Israeli operations against Iran on February 28, 2026, prompting Iran to target allies of the US, including Qatar. The conflict has disrupted normal operations in Qatar, with companies and Qatar Airways suspending services amid the tense security situation. The embassy reassured the public that, despite moving services online, it would continue to provide support remotely.
