RDF Chief of Staff Stresses Integrity and Professionalism in Soldiers

KIREHE, Rwanda - The Chief of Staff of the Rwanda Defence Forces (RDF), Gen. Mubarakh Muganga, has called on soldiers to uphold the country’s sovereignty and tackle security challenges, emphasizing that the foundation of the RDF is integrity.

Speaking at the Nasho Military Base in Kirehe District during the closing ceremony of a high-level training course for officers and other ranks, Gen. Muganga urged troops to apply their knowledge and skills professionally. The training, which concluded on December 22, 2025, was designed to sharpen the military capabilities of RDF personnel.

The ceremony featured demonstrations of the soldiers’ newly acquired competencies, including combat tactics, shooting, and other military exercises.

Gen. Muganga highlighted the importance of ethical conduct, stating, “Ethics come first. We are a military that is guided by good ethics and values of integrity. Training such as this aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of soldiers so that they can carry out their duties as members of the Rwandan Armed Forces.”

He called on the soldiers to continue being professional in their duties, ensuring that they safeguard the integrity of the nation while addressing any emerging security challenges.
