Presidential Recognition of Military Families’ Sacrifices
NIAMEY, Niger - Saturday, November 29, 2025 - President Abdourahamane Tiani led a high-level delegation to Camp Bagaji for a special meeting with the women of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS). The visit included in-depth inspections of economic initiatives by military families, including agricultural cooperatives, artisanal production units, and educational support programs.
The President personally commended these contributions, awarding official distinctions and noting that “the resilience and dedication of our military families constitute the moral foundation upon which our national security architecture rests.” The visit also featured symbolic tree plantings and the inauguration of new facilities for children of deployed personnel.
