President Tshisekedi Calls for Unity and Solidarity in New Year Address
Kinshasa, December 10, 2025 - President Félix Tshisekedi urged the Congolese people to remain united and in solidarity, paying tribute to the people of the occupied East, the FARDC (Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo), and the Wazalendo, a local militia fighting to defend the country’s territorial integrity.
The President delivered his message during a New Year’s address to the nation, accompanied by his wife.
First Lady Denise Nyakeru called on the Congolese people to maintain hope and solidarity, offering comfort to bereaved families.
The Head of State also emphasized the importance of national cohesion and unity to build a stronger Congo.
