President Tiani Conducts Security Assessment in Tillabéri

TILLABÉRI, Niger - On October 4, 2025, President Abdourahamane Tiani visited the Tillabéri region, one of Niger’s most security-challenged areas, combining public engagement with operational oversight to reinforce both state presence and military readiness.

Public Engagement: Massive turnouts in Karma and Sansané Haoussa underscored popular support for the transitional government. The events aimed to counter insurgent narratives of state absence and strengthen the government’s legitimacy in the region.

Military Oversight: President Tiani received briefings from general staff on operational challenges, resource needs, and tactical realities. He personally recognized the courage and resilience of troops on the ground.
