Precision Airstrikes Neutralize Motorcycle-Borne Terrorists in Bougouni Region
Bougouni, December 13, 2025 - Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) aircraft successfully spotted and neutralized terrorists traveling on motorcycles in northern Kékoro, Bougouni region.
According to the General Staff, this targeted operation eliminated immediate threats, potentially preventing attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure. The strike highlights the effectiveness of air assets in monitoring and rapidly countering jihadist movements, particularly limiting the mobility of groups such as JNIM.
While the operation strengthens the protection of key supply routes, analysts caution that risks of escalation remain if airstrikes are not complemented by enhanced regional coordination, especially given the humanitarian challenges facing over 400,000 forcibly displaced persons in Mali.
