Niger Security Forces Neutralize Terrorist Cell in Precision Airstrike
Niamey, November 6, 2025 - Niger’s Defense and Security Forces (FDS) carried out a successful precision airstrike on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, targeting a gathering of armed terrorists in the Chinbarwakan zone.
The operation was based on credible intelligence and careful surveillance of a group of militants on motorcycles. Authorities identified the individuals as members of an active armed group who had assembled under a hangar, reportedly planning an attack on civilians and security forces.
The pre-emptive strike neutralized the immediate threat and highlighted the FDS’s increasing capability in intelligence-led, targeted counter-terrorism operations. Officials described the mission as a demonstration of Niger’s commitment to maintaining security and protecting civilian populations.
