Niger Expands Counterterrorism Capabilities Through Specialized Training
Niamey, December 4, 2025 - The Islamic Military Counterterrorism Coalition (IMCCC) has launched specialized training courses for Nigerien defense and security forces, alongside selected journalists, at the Radisson Blu Hotel. The program focuses on counterterrorism operations, crisis communication strategies, and awareness of psychological operations, highlighting the increasing importance of information warfare in modern security contexts.
The initiative brings together military communication specialists, field journalists, and security analysts to develop coordinated response frameworks for complex incidents. Participants stressed the need to balance operational security with the public’s right to accurate information in counterinsurgency operations.
