Mali | Malian Armed Forces Conduct Multiple Airstrikes in Ségou and Mopti
Mali, January 12, 2026 - The General Staff of the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) announced that, as part of territorial surveillance operations, its aircraft carried out several airstrikes on January 12, 2026.
The first strike targeted a terrorist base located in the Soussan classified forest, in the Ségou region.
The second strike successfully neutralized an armed group and destroyed several motorcycles northeast of Zantièbougou, in the Kékoro forest, also in the Ségou region.
A third strike targeted an armed terrorist group moving in a forest near Diafarabé, in the Mopti region.
