Maj Gen Alex Kagame Applauds Inkeragutabara for Contribution to Community Development
Southern Province, Rwanda - December 4, 2025
The Commander-in-Chief of the Inkeragutabara, Major General Alex Kagame, met with members from five districts of the Southern Province-Huye, Gisagara, Nyamagabe, Nyanza, and Nyaruguru-to commend their role in community development. The meeting aimed to exchange ideas, address challenges, and provide updates on RDF initiatives supporting local development.
This session follows a previous meeting held in Muhanga District on November 28, 2025, designed to strengthen collaboration between Inkeragutabara leaders and veterans in their communities, enabling better identification of local issues and solutions.
Maj Gen Kagame praised the rescuers for their conduct and dedication to the population’s welfare. He emphasized the importance of self-reliance, encouraging them to actively combat poverty rather than rely solely on government assistance.
He also urged the Inkeragutabara to continue serving as role models, uphold ethics, and avoid criminal activities that would draw RDF investigations. Despite their retired status, he reminded them of their responsibility to maintain local security, reaffirming Rwanda’s safe environment.
