JNIM Targets Burkinabe Army Convoy in Séno Province
Séno, December 12, 2025 - The jihadist group JNIM reported an attack on a Burkinabe army convoy in Séno province between Dori and Gorgadji on December 12, 2025.
According to sources, the assault involved two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted along the convoy’s route. Details regarding casualties or material damage have not yet been confirmed by the Burkinabe military.
Security analysts say the attack highlights ongoing instability in the region and the persistent threat posed by militant groups operating in northern Burkina Faso.
