JNIM Targets Burkinabè Army Convoy with IEDs Near Djibo
Soum Province, Burkina Faso, February 4, 2026 - The Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) announced it carried out an IED attack on a Burkinabè army convoy near the town of Djibo, using three explosive devices. This marks the fourth IED attack in the same area, resulting in the destruction of four military vehicles and causing deaths and injuries among defense and security forces.
