JNIM Seizes Motorcycles Following Clashes with Malian Forces
Ségou, February 16, 2026 - The Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) announced that it seized five motorcycles after engaging in clashes with the Malian army and allied militias on Monday, February 16, 2026, in the area between Siribala and Markala, Ségou region.
The operation highlights ongoing security tensions in the Ségou region, where armed groups continue to target government forces and local militias to assert control and disrupt military operations.
