JNIM Claims Deadly Counter-Offensive Near Sikasso (November 25, 2025)
Bamako, November 25, 2025 - The terrorist group Jamaat Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM) announced it had carried out a counter-offensive against a Malian army patrol near the city of Sikasso.
According to the group’s statement, at least seven Malian soldiers were killed, and JNIM fighters allegedly seized nine Kalashnikov rifles, three PKM machine guns, along with ammunition and other military equipment.
The attack reportedly occurred on Tuesday as the patrol attempted to strike a JNIM position on the outskirts of Sikasso.
