JNIM Claims Deadly Attack on Soumpi Barracks in Timbuktu
Timbuktu Region, Mali - November 10, 2025 - JNIM announced that at least 48 Malian soldiers were killed and more than 100 wounded during an attack on the Soumpi barracks on November 7, 2025. The group also reported capturing military equipment, including a vehicle, a DShK machine gun, five pickup trucks, seven AK rifles, a pistol, 20 magazines, and eight crates of ammunition.
