JNIM Captures Dioïla Prefect on Fana-Dioïla Road
Ségou, February 15, 2026 - The Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) announced the capture of a Malian army officer, identified as the prefect of Dioïla, on the afternoon of February 14, 2026, along the Fana-Dioïla road in the Ségou region, near Bamako. The abduction occurred in an area frequently targeted by armed attacks, according to information released by the group.
