JNIM Attack in Mamasouni Results in Militia Death and Equipment Seizure
Sikasso, February 16, 2026 - The Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) reported that an attack on a pro-government militia position in Mamasouni, Sikasso region, on Monday, February 16, 2026, resulted in the death of one militia member. The group also seized two light weapons and five motorcycles during the operation.
