JNIM Ambush on Burkinabe Army Convoy in Séno
Séno Province, December 12, 2025 - On Friday, December 12, the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) attacked a Burkinabe army convoy with two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) along the road between Dori and Gorgadji.
The assault resulted in casualties among soldiers and destruction of military vehicles, highlighting the persistent threat posed by insurgent groups in the Sahel region and the challenges for national forces in securing key transport routes.
