Kinshasa, November 26, 2025 - On Monday, November 16, the FARDC and MONUSCO peacekeepers successfully repelled an attack planned by militias of the Convention for the Popular Revolution (CRP) near Sanduku, in the Djugu territory, about 45 km from Bunia.
The militiamen, spotted conducting reconnaissance with the aim of targeting sites for internally displaced persons (IDPs), were forced to retreat following the rapid response of FARDC forces and MONUSCO units, supported by warning shots.
