IOM Niger Commemorates World Children's Day with Focus on Migrant Protection
Niamey, November 28, 2025 - November 21 - The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Niger joined the Government of Niger and UNICEF in commemorating World Children's Day, highlighting the particular vulnerabilities of children in mobility situations.
The IOM emphasized its ongoing work in facilitating the return and socio-economic reintegration of vulnerable migrant children into their families. In collaboration with the Ministry in charge of child protection, the organization is conducting a comprehensive compilation of legislative texts and frameworks applicable to children in mobility in Niger, aiming to strengthen their legal protection and promote child rights across the country.
