Idaksahak Leaders Hold Community Meeting Supporting ALF Ideals
Bamako, February 28, 2026 - Political, religious, and traditional leaders of the Idaksahak community convened in Tinzaoutene for a three-day meeting focused on social cohesion, neighborly relations, and mobilization in support of the Azawad Liberation Front (ALF).
Key Outcomes of the Meeting
Creation of a monitoring and awareness committee composed of religious scholars and faction leaders
Several community leaders formally joining the ALF, including Mahmoudane Ag Mohama and Jaddi Ag Wataya
Rejection of any misuse of the Idaksahak name for conflict-related purposes
The leaders also expressed gratitude to sister communities and local youth for organizing the event, emphasizing the importance of unity, responsible leadership, and community engagement in advancing the group’s objectives.
