Four Civilians Killed in ADF Ambush Near Oicha, North Kivu
Mulolya, North Kivu, February 3, 2026 - Four civilians were killed and six motorcycles burned in an ambush by ADF rebels on the Oicha-Mulolya-Mamove road, about 10 km west of Oicha, the main town of Beni territory. The attack occurred around 8:00 a.m., with rebels coming from west of Mamove, which was itself attacked two days earlier. This brings the death toll in the area to nine civilians in three days. Another ambush was reported in Malibo the same day, though targeted farmers escaped to Oicha. Traffic remains suspended, and victims’ bodies were taken to the Oicha General Hospital morgue. The FARDC Deputy Chief of Staff is currently assessing the security situation in Beni. By Jeff Buleli & Teammates
