FAMa Neutralize Terrorist Groups Across Multiple Operational Theaters
Bamako - December 30, 2025 ; The General Staff of the Armed Forces has released the operational results of the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) for December 30, 2025, reporting a series of successful operations against armed terrorist groups across several regions of the country. In the Fana region, during a reconnaissance mission, aerial surveillance detected around thirty terrorists on motorcycles moving toward the Soussan forest. The group was subsequently targeted and neutralized in a forested area north of Falako, resulting in the elimination of approximately thirty terrorists and the destruction of several motorcycles. In the Kidal region, territorial control operations led to the detection of terrorist elements attempting to hide in Amazerakane with the intent of carrying out criminal acts. A precision strike neutralized the group along with its logistical support. Also in Kidal, terrorists attempting to evade surveillance hid a pickup truck west of Télabit, northwest of the city. Following a detailed search, the vehicle was destroyed. The resulting explosion confirmed the presence of explosives inside the truck. In the Timbuktu region, an aerial surveillance mission identified and neutralized terrorist elements south of Attara, leading to further losses among the armed groups and the destruction of equipment. In the Mopti region, FAMa forces successfully neutralized an armed terrorist group northeast of Nouh-Bozo, as well as a second group north of Diafarabe. The General Staff reaffirmed that the Malian Armed Forces remain on high alert and will continue operations without respite against armed terrorist groups throughout the national territory, in order to safeguard the population and maintain security.
