Drone Strike in Gargando Region Kills Entire Family
Bamako, November 13, 2025 - A Malian drone strike struck a nomadic tent in the Gargando region, specifically in Tangata (Timbuktu), killing the entire family inside. The victims included seven family members, among them three boys and two girls, who were reportedly sleeping at the time of the attack.
The incident drew condemnation from the Azawad Liberation Front, the Kal Akal Association, and Human Rights Watch, all demanding justice and accountability for the deaths.
