DRC: FEC Requests Postponement of Standardized Invoice Implementation
Kinshasa, November 18, 2025 - The Federation of Congolese Businesses (FEC) has requested a postponement of the rollout of the standardized invoice system, originally scheduled for December 1, 2025.
The FEC cited technical and security challenges with the platform, including the absence of a multi-user system for businesses with multiple points of sale. Thierry Ngoy Kasumba, Director General of the FEC, presented these concerns during a tax information session organized by the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI).
The DGI, for its part, encourages businesses to attend support sessions and make use of the assistance program in place. Authorities reiterated that the reform aims to modernize VAT collection, strengthen transaction transparency, and combat tax fraud.
