Djibouti, April 4, 2026 - March 2026 - The government has announced plans to mobilize more than $50 million for the development of its mining sector as part of the Djibouti Vision 2035 strategy.

Officials say the initiative aims to reduce the country’s reliance on ports and military-related revenues by expanding into natural resource development and broader economic diversification.

The plan is expected to attract investment into exploration and extraction projects, positioning mining as a new pillar of long-term national growth.
