Djibouti foreign minister joins Arab League session, condemns regional aggression

Djibouti City, Djibouti, March 29, 2026 - Djibouti’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdoulkader Houssein Omar took part via videoconference in the 165th Ordinary Session of the Council of the League of Arab States. The session, chaired by Bahrain, brought together regional officials to discuss ongoing developments, including tensions linked to the military escalation in the Middle East. In his address, Minister Abdoulkader reaffirmed Djibouti’s condemnation of attacks against certain Arab states, stressing the country’s firm opposition to violations of national sovereignty and any form of external interference in internal affairs. He called for respect of international law and stability across the region as tensions continue to rise.
