Armed Terrorist Groups Neutralized During Convoy Surveillance Operation
Bamako / Bougouni - December 29, 2025 ; During a surveillance operation monitoring the movement of tanker truck convoys along the Bougouni-Bamako road, aerial assets detected suspicious movements by armed terrorist groups preparing an ambush against the convoy. According to security sources, multiple targets were successfully neutralized. Several terrorist elements were eliminated and motorcycles were destroyed at four separate locations, notably near Kéléya and Famana. The Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining heightened vigilance around tanker truck convoys in order to secure supply routes and ensure the continuous delivery of essential goods to populations across the country. The operation underscores ongoing efforts by Malian forces to protect critical infrastructure and logistics corridors amid persistent security threats.
