Anéfis Battles: Army Claims Siege Broken and Heavy JNIM/FLA Losses
Anéfis, July 12, 2026 - Early- and mid-July army statements said FAMa and partners broke the siege of Anéfis, destroyed terrorist vehicles, secured a convoy and neutralised large numbers of fighters-claims ranging across communiqués from about a hundred to more than two hundred.
The chief of staff told the public the situation was under control as operations also covered Tabankort approaches.
Specialised reporting noted contested battlefield narratives, including disputed claims about FLA figures.
Civilians in the Kidal belt remained exposed to fluid front lines.
