Walikale Youth Urge Technology-Driven Local Development
Walikale, North Kivu, August 13, 2026 - Marking International Youth Day on August 12 under the theme of advancing bilateral cooperation through technology and partnership, Walikale youth argued that young people must be development actors, not only beneficiaries. They called for digital tools to support communication, skills, entrepreneurship, and links to national and international partners despite remoteness, and for partnerships with local authorities, civil society, schools, businesses, and NGOs, rooted in training, innovation, peace, and community service.
