DRC to Launch Chatbot to Strengthen Consumer Protection
Kinshasa - On, December 12, 2025 - The Ministry of National Economy, through Minister Daniel Mukoko Samba, announced the upcoming launch of a chatbot. This virtual assistant is designed to inform consumers about their rights and facilitate the handling of complaints across several regulated sectors, including banking, insurance, telecommunications, air transport, pharmaceuticals, agri-food, and electricity.
The chatbot will allow users to submit reports, consult summaries of applicable laws, and check the processing times for complaints. Additionally, the data collected will be used to strengthen market surveillance and identify sectors requiring particular attention.
Scheduled for the first quarter of 2026, this initiative forms part of the Ministry's strategy to promote transparency, citizen participation, and effective consumer protection nationwide.
