Burkina Faso Holds 2025 Session of Public Vocational Training Institutions Committee in Tenkodogo

Ouagadougou, December 8, 2025 - The Ministry of Public Service, Labor, and Social Protection (MFPTPS) convened the 2025 session of the Committee of Public Vocational Training Institutions (EFPE Committee) on December 8-9 in Tenkodogo, Nakambé region. The session was organized through the Permanent Secretariat for the Coordination of Vocational Training Institutions and the Strengthening of Public Expertise (SP-CEFP-VEP).

The meeting focused on examining the implementation of recommendations from the EFPE 2025 Forum, evaluating the effectiveness of the 2025-2026 academic year, improving tools such as the statistical yearbook and EFPE dashboard, and validating mechanisms for evaluating teaching staff and academic performance.

A central goal of the session was to harmonize and standardize procedures within the EFPEs, including monitoring forum recommendations, organizing civil service examinations, conducting merit-based recruitment, managing waiting lists, and certifying trainees upon completion of their programs.

At the opening, Mr. Boubacar Ouédraogo, Director General of INFPE, expressed hope that the forum would continue to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, sharing experiences, and consolidating best practices.

According to Mr. Ousmane David Zanné, Permanent Secretary of SP-CEFP-VEP, the 2025 Forum produced three major recommendations and a resolution aimed at strengthening pedagogical and administrative governance in the EFPEs. Key measures include developing a framework for civil servant professional development, providing supervision for temporary teachers, and harmonizing methodologies for professional dissertations.

The Committee session brought together senior officials, EFPE focal points, and the directors general of the AGRE and the Civil Service, continuing an annual tradition of collaborative governance and institutional strengthening for Burkina Faso’s vocational training system.
