2nd Ordinary Session of the Labor Advisory Commission 2025: Draft Decree on Working Conditions for Domestic Employees Am

Ouagadougou, November 19, 2025 - The Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Service, Labor, and Social Protection, Suanyaba Rodrigue Oboulbiga, opened the 2nd Ordinary Session of the Labor Advisory Commission (CCT) 2025 on Wednesday, November 19, in Ouagadougou.

Scheduled from November 19 to 21, 2025, this session will submit four important draft texts for review by the commission members.

the draft decree establishing working conditions for domestic employees, and

the draft decree concerning procedures for filing, publishing, translating, joining, and withdrawing from a collective bargaining agreement.

the draft decree regulating the activities of private employment agencies and temporary work agencies, and

the draft decree defining and sanctioning violations of the Labor Code and its implementing regulations.

In his opening address, Secretary General Oboulbiga commended stakeholders for their ongoing commitment to social dialogue, workplace peace, and harmonious development in Burkina Faso.

“I would like to highlight the quality of the work you accomplished during the first session of this year. Your contribution to the review of draft texts related to staff representatives and procedures for communicating internal regulations was remarkable. I am sincerely grateful,” he said.

Regarding the four draft decrees on the agenda for this second session, Mr. Oboulbiga urged participants to conduct their work with serenity, mutual respect, and a search for consensus.

“I sincerely hope that your reflections and recommendations will result in clear and operational texts that promote sustainable social progress,” he added, before officially declaring the second ordinary session of the CCT for 2025 open.
