Over 200 suspects arrested in large security sweep at Lubumbashi military camp

Lubumbashi March 30, 2026 - Security forces in southeastern Democratic Republic of Congo arrested more than 200 suspected criminals during a large-scale cordon-and-search operation at Major Vangu Camp in Lubumbashi, Haut-Katanga province. The joint operation was conducted under the supervision of provincial Interior Minister Jean-Jacques Kashiba and the provincial police commissioner, Blaise Kilimbalimba.
