Djibouti, April 1, 2026 - With nine days remaining before the presidential election scheduled for April 10, the Minister of the Interior, Said Nouh Hassan, conducted a working visit to the Djibouti Prefecture to assess the progress of electoral preparations. According to an official statement, the visit forms part of ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with national guidelines and the electoral calendar. Authorities indicated that preparations have entered their final phase and are progressing “satisfactorily” and within established deadlines. During the visit, the minister praised the mobilization of local administrative services and the coordination among stakeholders involved in organizing the vote.
