Bamako, February 4, 2026 - Mali’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdoulaye Diop, received the newly appointed Country Director of the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Mali, Cédric Achille Mbeng Mezui, and the new Resident Coordinator of the United Nations system in Mali, Hanaa Fikry Ahmed Singer, during an official audience on Wednesday in Bamako. The two officials were present to submit their letters of accreditation. Focus on Multilateral Cooperation Following formalities, discussions centered on the evolving national context and the prospects for strengthened multilateral cooperation. Minister Diop highlighted what he described as a paradigm shift in Mali’s governance, marked by renewed national ownership and revised principles guiding public action and partnerships.
