KINSHASA February 26, 2026 - The Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has signed a $155 million loan agreement with the African Development Bank (AfDB) to strengthen connectivity for the Ngandajika Agro-Industrial Park. The signing was carried out by Minister of Finance Doudou Fwamba Likunde Li-Botayi. This project forms the third component of the DRC’s Agricultural Transformation Program, aligning with the vision of President Félix Tshisekedi to make agriculture a strategic lever for economic diversification and food security. Minister Fwamba emphasized that connectivity is central to the success of existing investments in governance and value chain development. “It is essential for the sustainable development of our agricultural potential and the effective integration of producers into local and regional markets,” he said.
