Tshopo: Draft 2026 Budget of 420 Billion Congolese Francs Presented
Kisangani, DRC - On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, the acting governor of Tshopo, Didier Lomoyo Iteku, presented the draft 2026 provincial budget to the Provincial Assembly. The budget totals 420.4 billion Congolese francs and is reported as balanced between revenue and expenditure.
The budget prioritizes three main areas: strengthening security through measures to combat urban crime; rehabilitating infrastructure, notably the road linking the Canon roundabout to the Congo Palace, supporting presidential modernization projects in Kisangani; and consolidating good governance and institutional stability.
The President of the Provincial Assembly, Mattheus Kanga, emphasized that a thorough review of the document is expected during the upcoming September session, ensuring alignment with provincial and national development objectives.
