Tanzanian Police Arrest Suspects Over Alleged Plot to Attack Officials

Police spokesperson David Misime announced the arrests during a press briefing in Dar es Salaam, stating that security agencies had uncovered plans involving the use of social media and online groups to encourage acts of violence and public disorder. According to police, the alleged plans included attacks on government officials, destruction of public and private property, arson targeting schools, and assaults on security personnel with the intention of seizing their weapons.
