Strategic Partnerships Expand with Belarus and Chad
NIAMEY, Niger - November 18-21 - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strengthened Niger’s multi-vector diplomacy through a series of high-level engagements aimed at deepening economic, technical, and security cooperation.
CHAD (November 18): General Mohamed Toumba received Chadian Minister of Petroleum, Mines and Geology Mrs. NDOLONOGIE Naimbaye Alixe, accompanied by her Nigerien counterpart. The discussions focused on bilateral cooperation in the petroleum and mining sectors, including harmonization of sector policies and the strengthening of cross-border security coordination, reflecting a proactive approach to regional stability and economic integration.
BELARUS (November 21): Prime Minister Ali Mahaman Lamine Zeine and Minister of State for Interior, General of Division Mohamed Toumba, met with a Belarusian delegation led by Vice-Minister of Industry Bakey Denis. The meetings established concrete frameworks for enhanced economic and technical cooperation, with a particular focus on industrial development and technology transfer, signaling Niger’s commitment to diversifying its strategic partnerships.
These engagements highlight Niger’s continued efforts to consolidate diplomatic relations while aligning economic development priorities with regional security imperatives.
