Rwandan Banking Executives Complete Advanced Leadership Training in Luxembourg
Luxembourg, March 9, 2026 - A group of 21 senior banking executives from Rwanda have graduated from a year-long leadership program designed to strengthen strategic capacity in the country’s financial sector.
The initiative, known as the Advanced Banking Leadership Program (ABLP), was delivered by the House of Training-ATTF in partnership with the Rwanda Bankers’ Association. The final phase of the program took place in Luxembourg, where participants were awarded certificates upon completion.
The ABLP is aimed at preparing high-potential banking professionals for senior leadership roles through specialized coursework, international case studies, and simulation-based training. It focuses on key areas shaping the modern financial industry, including financial technology, innovation, governance, and sustainable finance.
Participants represented several of Rwanda’s leading financial institutions, including BK, BRD, BPR Rwanda, Ecobank, NCBA, Bank of Africa, I&M Bank, Access Bank, and Equity Bank.
During the program’s final phase, participants engaged in the B@NKSIM simulation exercise, a computer-based platform that allows executives to model real-world banking scenarios. The exercise enables participants to make strategic decisions on financial management, risk, regulatory compliance, and operational performance.
Rwanda’s Ambassador to Luxembourg, Aurore Mimosa Munyangaju, congratulated the graduates, highlighting their role in advancing Rwanda’s banking sector.
She also expressed appreciation to the Government of Luxembourg, particularly the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Union, Defence, Development Cooperation and International Trade, for its support.
The program underscores growing cooperation between Rwanda and Luxembourg in financial sector development, as well as ongoing collaboration between the Rwanda Bankers’ Association and the House of Training-ATTF to build expertise and leadership capacity within Rwanda’s banking industry.
