RwandAir Adds Airbus A330-200 To Support Long-Haul Expansion
Kigali, August 24, 2026 - RwandAir took delivery of an additional Airbus A330-200 aircraft, strengthening the national carrier's long-haul capacity as Rwanda seeks to expand Kigali's role as a regional aviation hub.
The airline said the aircraft is the first of five Airbus A330s it plans to add to its fleet. The new wide-body aircraft is expected to increase international passenger capacity and support RwandAir's broader route and service expansion plans.
The delivery reinforces Rwanda's aviation strategy, with RwandAir remaining a central pillar in the country's push to position Kigali as a regional travel, services and investment center.
