Rwanda - GLADS Apartment Inaugurated in Gasabo District at 7 Billion Frw Investment

Gasabo, December 30, 2025 Entrepreneur Gafurama Wilson celebrated the inauguration of his 7 billion Frw GLADS Apartment, financed by the Bank of Kigali, in Ndera Sector, Gasabo District. The multi-use building marks a major milestone in private investment and urban development in Rwanda. The GLADS Apartment features 15 commercial services, including: A hall with a 1,500-person capacity A sauna and massage room Private swimming pool Multiple bedrooms A market, gym, hair salon, restaurant, and bar Gafurama Wilson highlighted the importance of ideas, mentorship, and perseverance in realizing ambitious projects. “Many people prioritize money, but action starts with an idea. When you have a good idea, it helps you find money,” he said, urging other Rwandan investors to seize opportunities and have the courage to develop large-scale projects locally. Bank of Kigali, represented by Mukunzi Darius, Head of Small Business and Microfinance, emphasized the bank’s commitment to supporting Rwandan entrepreneurs. “Everyone can find themselves at Bank of Kigali, where at every branch there is a project expert ready to help,” he stated. Safari Alphonse, in charge of Quality Assurance in Hotels and Tourism at the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), praised the project, noting it strengthens national development and creates numerous jobs. “It brings development to the country directly and indirectly,” he said. This inauguration underscores Rwanda’s growing entrepreneurial spirit, public-private collaboration, and efforts to foster local investment in large-scale infrastructure.
