Rwanda Accredits Ambassador to Eritrea
Kigali, December 3, 2025 - Asmara, Eritrea - December 9, 2025 - Ambassador Ernest Rwamucyo officially presented his credentials to President Isaias Afwerki to represent Rwanda in Eritrea. The ceremony took place at the Eritrean Presidential Palace in Asmara.
During the meeting, Ambassador Rwamucyo assured President Afwerki of Rwanda’s commitment to maintaining and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and their peoples.
In response, President Afwerki reaffirmed Eritrea’s support for Ambassador Rwamucyo in his new role.
Currently, Ambassador Rwamucyo also represents Rwanda in Kenya and Somalia, with his base in Nairobi, Kenya.
