Rawbank Robbery: Honorine Porsche Sentenced to 10 Years of Hard Labor
Kinshasa, November 24, 2025 - Kinshasa, DRC - On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the Kinshasa-Gombe Garrison Military Court handed down a sentence of ten years of hard labor and a fine of 300 million Congolese francs to Honorine Porsche, after finding her guilty of armed robbery and acts of terrorism during the highly publicized Rawbank robbery.
In accordance with Article 7 of the Military Penal Code, Judge Freddy Eume imposed the maximum sentence due to the multiple offenses committed. The court acquitted the other defendants for lack of sufficient evidence.
The verdict comes amid widespread public concern over urban crime and is intended as a strong signal from the military justice system in the fight against insecurity in the DRC, demonstrating the authorities’ commitment to maintaining law and order.
